Sheila Nirenberg: A prosthetic eye to treat blindness
The Encoder is the key part of this...a codebook and equations mapping out visual data...and the implications can be reading the other senses as well...so the question is for me in the purposes of story...is this a possible key to the leap of digitizing memory, for retrieval, storage or maybe even transfer....
